Professional Experience – over 15 years
From 2006 to 2012 held various positions within the Russian courts of general jurisdiction.
From 2008 to 2012 – Assistant Judge.
Holder of the honorary rank Counselor of Justice, 3rd Class.

Experience as a lecturer in continuing legal education programs for attorneys. Author of numerous scholarly and practice-oriented publications.

Core Practice Areas:

Family and inheritance disputes involving a foreign element;

Transnational criminal matters and international search proceedings;

Legal assistance in extradition cases to the Russian Federation.

One of the first lawyers to successfully obtain through Russian courts substantial monetary compensation from the state for inadequate detention conditions in pre-trial facilities of the Krasnodar Region (Article 227.1 of the Code of Administrative Procedure of the Russian Federation).

Extensive experience in achieving dismissals of criminal cases, including on rehabilitative grounds, as well as acquittals by courts in respect of charges brought against clients.

In June 2023, following remote proceedings involving Attorney Lerman T.A., a district court rendered a full acquittal on all charges against her clients who had been placed on international wanted lists.

International Practice:
Author of articles on family and matrimonial relations between citizens of Russia and Italy, published on major legal online platforms in both countries.

In 2012, undertook professional training in law firms in Naples, Italy.
Member of the Apulia–Russia Association (since 2019).
Practical experience in representing Italian nationals in Russia and providing remote legal assistance in matters of Italian family law.

Served as an expert and made in-person court appearances in the Republic of Cyprus in extradition proceedings concerning individuals accused of crimes in Russia.
In 2022, recognized by the Larnaca District Court as an expert in the field of human rights; relying on her expert opinion, Cypriot authorities refused extradition to Russia.

Regularly files requests and challenges regarding international alerts before the Commission for the Control of INTERPOL’s Files (CCF).

The European Court of Human Rights has granted 10 applications prepared with her participation, awarding more than €75,000 in compensation against the Russian Federation.

Provides legal assistance in document collection for repatriation and acquisition of Israeli citizenship.

Actively cooperated with leading Russian and international human rights organizations, representing victims subjected to torture by law enforcement officers and the Federal Penitentiary Service.

Continuing Legal Education:

2012, 2017, 2021 – advanced training in the protection of human rights before the European Court of Human Rights, Council of Europe program with participation of practicing lawyers and judges (Strasbourg, France).

2017 – completed online HELP courses of the Council of Europe on:

Family law and human rights. International standards of protection of the rights of children and adults;

Admissibility of evidence in criminal proceedings. Entrapment and other unlawful investigative methods in light of ECHR standards.

2018–2019 – advanced training in the Czech Republic and Italy. Participated in joint workshops with Russian journalists on cooperation between lawyers and the media.

2021 – in-person international training in Greece on “INTERPOL. Extradition. Asset Tracing. International Search.”

March 2022 – online course “Human Rights Protection before UN Bodies.”

May 2023 – attended international legal conference “LEGAL DIALOGUE – 2023: Three Days in Armenia.”

Annually participates in professional development programs organized by the Bar Association of the Krasnodar Region and the Federal Chamber of Lawyers.
